Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence

The Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC) is a Caribbean Examinations Council certification provided to all students in the Caribbean who complete secondary school in participating countries.

It was developed to provide Caribbean students with basic competences that could be applied and nurtured in the work and education environments. It comprises of the core subjects of English, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Modern Languages and Social Studies.

To be eligible for the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence, students must complete a minimum of five subjects – the two compulsory subjects of Mathematics and English and three from groupings specially designed CCSLC subjects, CSEC and TVET programmes.
